General principles
The project is based on research developed around Inhabiting Infinity. It is structured around a mixed program combining coliving, coworking, sports facilities and reception spaces.
It addresses a diverse population often facing difficulties in finding suitable housing in Paris: young professionals, nomadic workers, commuting workers, single-parent families, students and families.
The scale of living space is multiplied through shared environments organized around different spheres:
- THE PERMANENT PRIVATE SPHERE
From individual rooms to four-room duplex apartments. - THE SHARED SPHERE AT FLOOR LEVEL
Shared spaces for a small group of residents: large kitchen, living room and terrace. - THE SHARED SPHERE AT BUILDING LEVEL
Shared facilities for all residents: laundry room, terrace, courtyard, reception area, circulation spaces and an inhabitable staircase. - THE SPHERE OPEN TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Spaces intended primarily for residents while remaining open to neighbors: sports facilities, coworking spaces and a reception gallery.
The Compass: a digital platform
The optimization of spaces is enabled through a digital application: The Compass. It facilitates the use of spaces and exchanges between residents through a platform integrating:
• energy management
• technical management and building maintenance
• administrative management
• management and reservation of spaces
• social networks, mutual support and exchanges
The Bienveilleur: the human dimension
The « Bienveilleur » (or « Caregiver ») ensures the daily functioning of the building. Simultaneously concierge, community manager, coordinator and host, this role coordinates activities, internal and external services, maintenance and collective life while relying on a digital platform and external resources.
The alliance between human presence and digital technologies allows optimized management and animation of the place.
Architecture
The architecture explores a diversity of atmospheres and ways of inhabiting throughout the building’s 1230 m².
Private spaces are developed through various typologies: through duplexes, individual rooms, large studios and housing adapted to single-parent families.
Shared spaces also offer a wide range of possibilities: terraces, hammam, sauna, sports facilities, coworking spaces, inhabitable staircase and shared courtyard.
Particular attention is paid to materials — brick, stone, wood, zinc and glass — as well as to the spatial and sensory qualities of the project.
