General principles

Heritage rehabilitation and thermal improvement of a Haussmannian building while preserving its architectural identity.

Complete restoration of a Haussmannian building including the refurbishment of façades, moldings and sculpted elements, while respecting the original architectural language.

The project also includes the waterproofing renovation of terraces and balconies, as well as the thermal improvement of the building envelope through the insulation of slate roofs integrating recessed terraces on two levels.

Beyond energy savings, the intervention aims to improve overall comfort: winter comfort, summer comfort and acoustic quality.

The complexity of the project lies in the integration of an invisible additional layer of insulation, partly bio-based, reconciling thermal performance, heritage preservation and the adaptation of the building to contemporary climate challenges.

The project therefore seeks to transform the thermal behavior of the building without altering its architectural perception: making the transformation almost invisible while making the renewed comfort and quality fully perceptible.

Every building deserves to be a monument.
