General Principles
Our intervention will be mainly relate to three areas :
- Create a gathering and sociability place that allows children and parents to meet and get together.
- Reveal an identity to the water tower of Dammarie Les Lys and make a point of visibility and tracking in the large landscape.
- Playing with natural events. The project must change and adapt to the time scales.

The water tower is located in a residential urban area of individual habitations, on a roundabout and near the entrance of a forest. It is a landmark, even if it is perceived as a «false note» in the urban landscape. As in any residential area, meeting places are rare. Also, one area of free games allows young children to find despite the presence of many parks.

THE PLAYGROUND: A MEETING PLACE DEALING WITH SOCIABILITY

The place is a small, friendly space that brings together adults and children of all ages.

The space includes:

An adult zone: as a long bench, it allows parents to share and have good visibility to monitor their children.
An area of 6 to 12 years: with sets of nets and a waterslide.
An area of 2 to 6 years: games suited to their ages (term traction, small cabins, tunnel, swing etc …).

PLAYING WITH NATURAL EVENTS

The vegetation

Electrical substations are hidden. The appearance of the water tower evolves over time thanks to the vegetation. It shines and becomes a sign in the wide landscape.

The rainbow

The machine uses water pumps and high power jet fountain nozzles for spraying rainwater recycled into the air so that it forms an arc-en-ciel.

The light

The side of the South, East and West facade stainless poly mirror triangles catch the light and sparkle. On the north side perforations retro illuminated light up the night.
